Trivia[]
- Beldum and its evolutions are the only non-legendary Pokémon to have a catch rate of 3.
Origin[]
Beldum is likely based on a space probe or satellite (particularly the Hubble Space Telescope), planktonic crab larvae, a human thumb, a bullet, and possibly a dumbbell. Beldum somewhat resembles the N64 incarnations of Beamos, artificial enemies from the Zelda series that shoot lasers from their single eyes.
Etymology[]
Beldum and Danbaru are the word dumbbell but with the words switched around and then simplified.
